Our Properties
Pukaki Downs
To further our charitable purposes and mission, The Pukaki Trust, via Pukaki Tourism Holdings Limited Partnership, owns a 3,700 hectare South Island high-country station, Pukaki Downs. Located on Mt Cook Highway, it sits on the shores of Lake Pukaki where we plan to have a first class yoga retreat facility.
Our vision for Pukaki Downs is to:
• Restore and enhance Pukaki Downs to be a place of serenity, beauty, and inspiration
• Share with New Zealanders and people from all over the world the opportunity to retreat, relax and reenergize
• Develop Pukaki Downs in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way
To achieve our vision, Pukaki Downs is being used and developed to:
• Offer meditation and yoga classes and retreats
• Preserve and enhance the land, working with it sustainably
• Undertake responsible eco wellness tourism
• Present opportunities for fulfilling memorable experiences
• Provide a caring and rewarding work environment
Our core values and guiding principles as we fulfill our mission and strive towards our vision are:
• Kaitiaki: take care of the land, act responsibly, care for others
• Service: have a serving attitude, be friendly and welcoming to all
• Cooperation: work cooperatively, respecting each other, the community, and the environment
Our activities – organic lavender farming, forestry and visitor accommodation – help us to achieve this mission as well as supporting the education activities of the Trust.
Pukaki Village
The Pukaki Trust’s wholly owned subsidiary, Pukaki Village Holdings Limited, has recently acquired Pukaki Village, a 19.34ha site on the shore of Lake Pukaki.
We plan to develop Pukaki Village in conjunction with Pukaki Downs to achieve our vision.
