The Pukaki Trust
The Pukaki Trust is a charitable trust set up for the purpose of educating individuals and the community about the numerous physical, mental and spiritual benefits of living a balanced yoga lifestyle and to support individuals and organizations that promote the practice of yoga, meditation and health and wellness
About us
The Pukaki Trust was established in 2008 and became a registered charity in 2009.
The Trust’s mission is to share and promote a healthy natural lifestyle through yoga, meditation, and the adoption of a healthy diet and lifestyle.
The Trust does this by offering classes, retreats and other programs.
The Trust has several wholly-owned subsidiary companies which operate various activities which are in harmony with and support the Trust’s mission, including:
• New Zealand Alpine Lavender Limited which has one of New Zealand’s largest organic lavender farms producing high quality award winning lavender oil and high-quality organic lavender products which are used in support of health and well-being.
• Pukaki Forestry Limited which engages in forestry activity and wilding eradication. It has pioneered and promoted the use of mechanical and other means to eradicate wildings instead of using chemical sprays and, in cooperation with Pioneer Energy, has already harvested most of the wilding forest for bio-energy.
• Southern Serenity Limited which operates visitor accommodation.
• Pukaki Tourism Marketing Limited the general partner of Pukaki Tourism Holdings Limited Partnership which owns Pukaki Downs, a 3,700 hectare South Island high country station.
• Pukaki Village Holdings Limited which owns Pukaki Village, a 19.34 hectare South Island property on the shore of Lake Pukaki in the Mackenzie Basin.
